Cleaning crews rarely start the day at the office. They move between offices, homes and buildings, often on evening or weekend shifts. EZTime puts the schedule and the time clock in one place. You build recurring shifts for each client site, assign cleaners by availability and send the schedule to their phones. Cleaners clock in from the mobile app with GPS location recorded on each punch, tap an NFC tag at the client site, or send an SMS if they do not have a smartphone. Reminders catch forgotten clock-outs, managers fix missed punches with an approval trail, and you export payroll-ready hours at the end of the pay period.
Each cleaner clocks in from the app at the site. The punch shows the time and location, so you know the crew arrived.
The manager sees who is available and reassigns the shift in a few clicks. The replacement gets the shift in the app.
Add a recurring weekly shift for the new site and assign a regular team. The schedule repeats until you change it.
Hours from every site are already in one place. Managers approve corrections and export timesheets to Excel or PDF for payroll.

Under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, non-exempt cleaners must be paid at least minimum wage for all hours worked and overtime for hours over 40 in a workweek (see our FLSA overtime guide). Travel between client sites during the workday is generally counted as hours worked, while a normal commute from home to the first site generally is not. Many states and cities set higher minimum wages and their own break rules. This is general information, not legal advice. Use our free overtime calculator to check a week, and read how to set up GPS clock-in for mobile crews.
